CONTRIBUTION TO THE DAGESTAN PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND ECONOMY OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE COUNTRY IN THE 50-70S OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

Abstract: in the present article  on the basis of various content and nature of sources and literature, the authors attempt to study the contribution of the Dagestan State Pedagogical Institute in the development of national economy, science and education of Dagestan and the country in the 50-70s of the XX century. Dagestan Pedagogical Institute named after S. Stalsky – the first University of the Republic, passed a long and glorious path of development. Scientific qualification of the teaching staff in the period under review was small. The main focus of the Institute was aimed at improving the scientific level of the teaching staff. The Institute was strengthened by a number of highly qualified teachers by the end of the second decade of its existence. A number of departments that worked on various scientific problems were opened. Research conducted at the Institute concerned various issues related to the history of the peoples of Dagestan, their languages, literature, school education and natural resources of the Republic, physics, pedagogy, botany, zoology, chemistry, foreign languages. Scientific and methodical conferences of graduates-teachers of schools of Dagestan were held in the University. Especially productive in scientific terms for the University were the 50s. The party and the government took measures to support educational and research institutes. The staff of the Pedagogical Institute maintained close ties with many leading research institutes and universities of the country. In general, Dagestan State Pedagogical Institute in the period under review, was carried out productive work on the development of the country’s economy.
