ROLE OF FOREIGN COMPANIES IN GROZNY OIL INDUSTRY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract: the scientific article is devoted to the study of the role of foreign firms, founded in the early twentieth century in the Grozny oil industry. The open confrontation of domestic capital with large foreign oil trusts at the beginning of the twentieth century is shown. The Grozny oil industry, as the most profitable business, attracted both domestic and foreign capitalists, who bought shares of leading domestic trusts and carried out predatory exploitation of the natural wealth of the Grozny oil region in the early twentieth century. All foreign capital was allocated to the Grozny oil fields. Since 1910, a new stage of monopolization of the oil industry of Grozny has been observed. Large world oil companies settled in Grozny: Russian General Petroleum Corporation, Royal Dutch Shell Transport and Partn. Of Nobel brothers. Most of the oil companies were in the possession of foreign trusts.
