ON THE ROLE OF THE CHECHEN DIASPORA IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURE, LITERATURE AND SPORTS OF JORDAN

Abstract: in this paper, an attempt is made to highlight the role of the Chechen diaspora in the development of culture, literature and sports of Jordan with specific examples from the beginning of the 20th century until today. It is noted that the majority of foreign Chechens are descendants of immigrants of the second half of XIX and early XX century; who consider the Caucasus their homeland, their Fatherland. Established in recent years the expanding cultural ties of the Chechen Republic with foreign Chechens help them live in a foreign land, resist assimilation, preserve their national identity, language and culture. Thanks to the wise policy pursued by the Head of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia R. A. Kadyrov, the state authorities of the Chechen Republic are doing a great deal to strengthen and develop cultural ties with compatriots living abroad. Being repeatedly on a scientific mission in Jordan and visiting many families, we found that the Muhajirs kept their native language, the institution of customs and traditions, mentality, material culture, national life, etc. We cannot say that there is Chechen literature in Jordan in the literal sense. But there are Chechens who are actively engaged in literary work in both the Chechen and Arabic languages, as well as translation activities, thereby making a significant contribution to the development of culture and literature of Jordan. The references of Chechen authors written in Arabic are popular not only in Jordan, but also in many countries of the Arab East. In addition, the museum business is also developing there. For a long time, a private Chechen Historical and Ethnographic Museum has been operating in Jordan, in which there are objects of a century-old material culture. Chechen youth has achieved tangible sporting success in popular sports. Thus, the Chechens of Jordan contributed to the effective development of literature, art, culture and sports of Jordan as a whole.
