Abstract: the article deals with the issues concerning the forms of xenophobic manifestations in various state entities depending on social and historical processes, in particular, the intensity of migration flows or other historical phenomena, as well as the “procedures” of decolonization. The presence of two types of migrant phobias and different forms of their manifestation depending on the numerical composition of the urban settlement (for example, in the so-called “micro” and “mega” policies) are emphasized.
